Job Description
About the Role : The Oven Operator ensures production goals are met by efficiently running and maintaining multi‑oven lines, while upholding safety, quality, and process standard Operate oven lines to meet production targets, using LD displays, gauges, and checklists. Monitor for alarms, lasers or other warning signals; respond promptly to issues. Record readings (temperatures, times, etc.) on process control sheets; report irregularities to supervisor. Perform safe startup, emergency stop, and restart procedures (especially after power failures). Adjust process parameters based on lab feedback to maintain product specifications. Manage salt operations: check and refill salt trays; alert packing supervisor when bins need replacing. Maintain the cleanliness of the oven area: remove waste, clean around kilns, clear skids and trash. Clean ovens during shutdowns: wash down cooker & transfer areas; follow all safety and standard procedures. Support plant shutdowns with cleaning duties, including overhead tasks. Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals. Important D etails: T his is a full - time permanent role on 1st shift, which operates from 7 :00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday with some Saturdays . the hourly payrate is $ 25.50 an hour About You : You’ll fit right in if you have: Ability to organize, prioritize, multitask and keep up with multiple fast-paced conveyor lines Basic math and measuring ability. Basic computer skills Ability to comprehend written and oral communication to understanding, carry out and follow instructions and standard procedures. Ability to read production orders, controls, machine specifications and identify numbers.
