Provide direct partnership and IT system ownership in support of stakeholders in R&D Discovery and Corporate Business and Strategy Office (CBSO). Provide strategic technology consultation, guidance, and leadership (where appropriate) for business/domain initiatives. Develop and lead plans necessary to deliver the technological capabilities needed to enable business objectives. Analyze business processes; elicit, analyze, and document business requirements; identify, create proposals, and present alternative solutions, assesses feasibility, and makes recommendations typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing IT technology components; Change management; And lead, coordinate/perform testing, verification, and validation of requirements. Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Work with business teams to understand specific business processes, business drivers, and business strategies across multiple functions; Identify, prioritize, and communicate resulting needs and opportunities for business process improvement that can be enabled via technology. Use appropriate tools to collect, correlate, and analyze data; record and maintain technical system and SDLC documentation and training materials. Conduct testing and develop preliminary findings. Adhere to AbbVie system standards and procedures. Manage projects according to project scope and milestones. Determine approach and solution to problem when issue is within scope. Guide the efforts of technical teams. Proactively investigate and understand capabilities of existing systems and technologies already in use across the business area and similar and interconnected business areas in AbbVie; Investigate emerging internal and external technologies and actively connect these capabilities to proactively address business needs.
