POSITION SUMMARY The Plumber is responsible for carrying out plumbing maintenance, installation, and repair work throughout the property to ensure water, drainage, and associated systems remain safe, functional, and well maintained. The role supports the Engineering Department by inspecting, repairing, and maintaining plumbing fixtures, pipework, drainage systems, and water supply equipment while delivering high-quality workmanship and supporting an exceptional guest experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES I. Plumbing & Maintenance
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures throughout the property. Inspect and repair leaks, blockages, water supply issues, and drainage systems. Maintain guest room, public area, and back-of-house plumbing facilities, including sinks, toilets, showers, and faucets. Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing equipment and systems. Support refurbishment, renovation, and engineering projects as required.
II. Work Orders & Inventory
Respond to plumbing maintenance requests promptly and professionally. Monitor and maintain plumbing tools, materials, and spare parts inventory. Order and manage plumbing supplies through approved purchasing processes. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
III. Guest Service & Teamwork
Maintain positive relationships with guests and associates. Minimize disruption to hotel operations while performing maintenance work. Coordinate with Engineering and other departments to ensure timely completion of repairs. Maintain clean and organized work areas at all times.
IV. Safety & Compliance
Follow company safety, security, and maintenance procedures. Report hazards, accidents, and equipment malfunctions promptly. Ensure compliance with plumbing regulations, workplace health and safety standards, and company policies. Ensure proper use, care, and storage of tools, equipment, and company assets. Maintain a professional appearance and comply with company standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification in Plumbing, Mechanical Services, or a related trade. Minimum 2 years of plumbing, maintenance, or facilities management experience. Knowledge of plumbing systems, water supply, drainage systems, pumps, and fixtures. Experience in hospitality, commercial, or facilities maintenance environments is advantageous. Ability to read basic plumbing drawings and maintenance documentation. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to safely operate plumbing tools and equipment. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required. Must have working rights in Fiji.
