What you'll be doing
• Travel to designated locations to perform mobile diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and other diesel-powered machinery.
• Providing Fleet Maintenance services for our ever-growing fleet of car-hauling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair issues related to engines, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, brakes, and other components.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, electrical/ mechanical diagnostics, and mechanical repair.
• Utilize diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical problems.
• Maintain accurate service records, documenting all repairs, parts used, and hours worked.
• Communicate effectively to explain repairs, provide estimates, and ensure satisfaction.
• Manage and maintain a clean and organized service vehicle, ensuring all necessary tools and parts are stocked.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Provide exceptional service and represent the company professionally at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
What you should know
• Our top technicians have extensive knowledge in both Electrical and Mechanical Diagnostics.
• Preventative Maintenance is a priority, but the ideal candidate should be knowledgeable and proficient in troubleshooting and repair of: HVAC, Braking systems and wheel end components, Engine systems, Emissions and Aftertreatment, and Electrical.
• This is a mobile technician; travel is required 100% of the time
What you should have
• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or certificate in diesel technology, heavy equipment repair, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years experience as a diesel technician, preferably with mobile service experience.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools.
