The Corporate Actions team is responsible for the end-to-end processing, validation, and management of corporate action events across global Equity and Fixed Income portfolios. This includes mandatory, voluntary, and complex events such as restructurings, exchanges, consent solicitations, and income-related actions. The Director role provides senior operational oversight and acts as a key escalation point for high-risk events, process design, stakeholder engagement, and readiness across BAU, UAT, and transformation initiatives. Primary Responsibilities > Provide senior oversight and execution ownership of Corporate Actions processing across Equity and Fixed Income products, including mandatory, voluntary, and mandatory-with-choice events. > Lead and support a Bengaluru-based Corporate Actions team operating in the night shift, aligned to global market hours. > Analyze, validate, and monitor corporate action events in Aladdin across vendors, middle office teams, and custodians. > Manage the full lifecycle of events from announcement through election, entitlement processing, settlement, and reconciliation. > Act as a key escalation point for complex or time-sensitive corporate action events and associated risks. > Partner with Trading, Portfolio Management, Trade Management, Reconciliation, Custodians, and Fund Accounting teams. > Oversee cash and position reconciliation related to corporate actions and ensure timely break resolution. > Support system and process transformation initiatives including Aladdin during UAT and prod parallel phases. > Drive process standardisation, control strengthening, and operational risk mitigation initiatives. > Ensure strong documentation, audit readiness, and compliance with governance standards. What you will bring to the role: > Liaise with global custodians, agent banks, brokers, and vendors to ensure accurate event processing and settlements. > Work closely with global MSIM Operations teams to ensure consistency and effective hand-offs. > Partner with Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Transformation teams on enhancements and control improvements. > Serve as a senior point of contact for internal and external corporate action related queries. > Bachelor's degree or comparable professional experience. > 12+ years of experience in Asset Management Operations with strong Corporate Actions expertise. > In-depth knowledge of Equity and Fixed Income securities and the Corporate Actions lifecycle. > Hands-on experience working with custodian banks and agent banks. > Strong working knowledge of Aladdin; BRS Aladdin experience preferred. > Familiarity with reconciliation and workflow tools such as DUCO. > Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. > Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders. > Experience supporting global operating models and night-shift coverage.
