Your Impact

Develop high reliability power supplies and system-level power architectures for Cisco power distribution platforms. Architect, design, develop, and qualify power systems, subsystems, and components for highly reliable power distribution systems. Partner with layout, mechanical, thermal, test, supply chain, manufacturing, and compliance teams to deliver best-in-class power solutions.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors + 12 years of related experience, or Masters + 8 years of related experience, or PhD + 5 years of related experience. Experience working as a power design engineer for high-reliability power supplies for DC-powered equipment. Proven experience with all aspects of power product lifecycle from early product definition all the way through shipping products to customers, and everything in between. Experience with resolving EMI, EMC, and regulatory compliance issues.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with high-density, redundant AC and also DC input front-end power supplies for networking and telecom equipment. Experience with 480V/277V HVAC and 200V-400V HVDC input supplies Experience with digital circuit fault detection and mitigation technologies such as solid--state overcurrent protection, arc fault detection, or ground fault detection. Experience meeting Functional Safety requirements from standards such as IEC 61508 or similar as well as product safety standards such as IEC 62368 or UL 1400-1 Experience with Cadence Schematic and PCB design tools Why Cisco?  At Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era – and beyond.
