About this role
We are the AI Hub delivering advisory services focused on data architecture and data-driven transformation. We work closely with client and internal stakeholders, including cybersecurity and data protection teams, data analysts, and data scientists to ensure use cases have a solid foundation and deliverables meet expectations. We support organizations in designing and delivering next-generation data platforms to accelerate analytics, decision-making, and innovation. Our work typically includes assessing architecture maturity, defining target-state data platform blueprints, and building pragmatic roadmaps that cover governance, protection, migration, and cloud enablement. We deliver in a consulting environment that requires strong stakeholder management, delivery discipline, compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordination across service lines when integrated delivery is needed. Sound interesting? Well this is just the beginning. Because whenever you join, however long you stay, the exceptional EY experience lasts a lifetime. The opportunity
You are an AI Product Owner joining the AI Hub in Amman. This is a hands-on leadership role where you build AI and Generative AI prototypes (PoCs, MVPs) and lead engineers to turn ideas into working solutions that solve real client problems, automate processes, reduce cost, and improve speed.
Your key responsibilities
You own product outcomes end-to-end: shaping the use case, defining the roadmap and backlog, setting success metrics and acceptance criteria, and making go/no-go or pivot decisions as PoCs evolve into MVPs. You are also expected to support early commercial thinking for AI initiatives, including scoping, effort estimation, and contributing to proposals/RFPs.
Skills and attributes for success
Lead and deliver AI PoCs and MVPs that demonstrate measurable value for clients
Translate client problems into clear product scope, roadmap, and prioritized backlog
Define product success metrics, acceptance criteria, and decision points (go/no-go, pivot) across PoC and MVP stages
Shape early commercial thinking for AI initiatives, including scoping, effort estimation, and supporting proposals/RFPs
Build and guide development using LLMs, generative AI, AI agents, and ML frameworks
Apply hands-on development skills in Python and relevant AI frameworks and toolkits (e.g., FastAPI, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph)
Stay current with agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) and use them to accelerate delivery
Ensure robust engineering practices through LLMOps/MLOps, CI/CD, and deployment across cloud and on ‑ prem environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Work within enterprise governance and risk constraints, including data privacy, regulatory requirements, secure deployments, and responsible AI
Manage and mentor a distributed engineering team and contribute to capability building, delivery standards, and scaling ways of working across initiatives
Drive innovation by tracking new tools and trends and bringing practical ideas into the AI Hub delivery pipeline
To qualify for the role you must have
6 + years of proven experience delivering AI/ML solutions in real-world projects
Experience leading teams and delivering in fast-changing
Client-facing experience with strong communication and stakeholder management
Background that includes data engineering and cloud work (e.g., Databricks, ETL, AWS or GCP)
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar (advanced degree is a plus)
Ideally you’ll also have
Experience building voice-first AI, ASR/TTS systems, or streaming solutions
Experience working in start-ups or innovation hubs
ML certifications, including Databricks and/or GCP certifications
Agile/Scrum certification
