General Profile: Uses best known methods and lean six sigma tools to solve complex manufacturing quality issues. Ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular / weekly meetings (MRRT meetings) to address manufacturing NCs and line issues, drive necessary actions for issue containments, root cause analysis and corrective actions. Perform quality audits within manufacturing for compliance with established internal and external standards. Facilitate or lead kaizen events to drive continuous improvement and resolve significant deviation from the standard. Use 8D / lean six sigma methodology to drive continuous improvement projects. Provide governance of corrective and preventative actions. Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers, SQE focals and Onsite Technical Representatives to contain Supplier non-conformance and ensure 8D effectiveness. Aid in the investigation of Customer quality non-conformances caused by manufacturing. Mentor and train Quality / Engg Technicians on existing and new standards as well as adoption of industry best known methods. Functional Knowledge Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in quality management and processes. Business Expertise Has knowledge of how Applied Materials interacts within the Semiconductor Business sector.
