The Role The Program Manager for Global Dealer & Contractual Systems (GDCS) is responsible for leading the strategy, governance, accuracy, and operational effectiveness of GM’s Global Dealer and Contract Data platforms. This role oversees multiple enterprise systems supporting dealer master data, contractual records, planning hierarchies, and integrations with key internal and external partners. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and cross‑functional collaboration with Senior Leadership, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Legal, IT, dealerships, government agencies, and financial institutions.
What You'll Do
(Responsibilities) Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for GM’s global dealer and contractual systems, providing leadership, coaching, and direction to the Business Analyst and Product Management teams. Identify system improvement opportunities and define long‑term strategies for global alignment across dealer data platforms. Manage relationships with Dealer Contractual and Dealer Policy teams, ensuring alignment on dealer information, contractual updates, and policy changes through established impact analysis and change management procedures. Lead and execute global dealer structural changes, including field realignments and business unit‑driven organizational updates. Develop and deliver custom daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and complex data queries to meet business needs. Partner with GM Treasury and dealership personnel to manage financial relationships and related system interactions. Collaborate closely with IT to drive shared vision, prioritize key initiatives, and ensure successful system development and execution. Interpret data, identify trends, and design solutions that address complex operational and system challenges. Manage the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) process, serving as the primary point of contact for dealers and financial institutions. Ensure all procedural documentation related to GDCS operations is current and compliant. Support daily business operations involving Billing and Receivables, OTDS, and associated dealer‑facing systems. Maintain GM’s data and system security in alignment with Corporate Security and compliance requirements. Oversee creation, maintenance, and governance of global dealer and non‑dealer sites across supported platforms. Manage changes to key business data elements through controlled processes to minimize disruption to GM’s operations. Provide troubleshooting, issue resolution, and support for urgent system needs or special assignments in partnership with IT. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience leading complex, cross-functional programs in dealer operations, automotive, financial services, or similarly regulated environments BS Degree Strong understanding of field and dealership operations, the GM Sales and Service Agreement, Dealer Financial Statements, dealer‑facing tools, and Sales processes and programs. Demonstrated technical expertise in mainframe and mid‑range systems, including system operations, scripting, data movement, and data transformation. Strong knowledge of relational databases and proficiency in SQL, with the ability to validate, analyze, and structure complex data sets. Experience managing or contributing to large‑scale IT initiatives or cross‑functional technology projects. Knowledge of scaled Agile frameworks and experience working in Agile environments. Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data and drive insight‑based decisions. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage work within established policies and minimal direction. Proven ability to lead teams through organizational or market changes while maintaining engagement and strategic alignment. Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to convey complex details to senior leadership clearly and
