As an Executive Director in Corporate and Sponsor Rates Sales within Global Sales, you will lead client coverage and deliver rates risk management ideas and execution across a complex, fast-moving market environment. You will partner closely with trading, structuring, research, and coverage teams to bring the firm’s capabilities to clients in a clear, client-centric way. You’ll help shape coverage strategy, drive responsible growth, and contribute to a strong risk and controls culture. You will also play a key role in coaching talent and fostering an inclusive team environment where people can do their best work.
Job responsibilities
Lead coverage for corporate and sponsor clients, building trusted senior-level relationships and long-term engagement plans. Originate and deliver rates hedging and financing solutions aligned to client objectives, market conditions, and firm priorities. Partner with trading and structuring teams to develop trade ideas, pricing discussions, and execution strategies. Communicate market themes and tailored insights to clients, translating complexity into clear decision support. Coordinate globally across coverage and product teams to deliver a consistent client experience and maximize connectivity. Drive pipeline management, including prioritization, follow-through, and disciplined tracking of client activity. Execute with a strong risk mindset, ensuring appropriate governance, documentation, and adherence to policies and controls. Identify opportunities to deepen wallet share through thoughtful collaboration across products and client segments. Manage escalations and time-sensitive client needs with sound judgment and effective stakeholder communication. Coach and develop junior team members through feedback, sponsorship, and day-to-day mentorship. Promote an inclusive team culture by inviting diverse perspectives and supporting equitable growth opportunities. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Demonstrated experience in rates sales, rates solutions, or a closely related markets role serving corporate and/or sponsor clients. Strong understanding of interest rate markets and common hedging instruments (e.g., swaps, options, and structured rates solutions). Proven ability to build and sustain senior client relationships and influence decision-making through advisory dialogue. Ability to articulate complex products and risks clearly in both written and verbal communication. Demonstrated commercial judgment, including disciplined prioritization and pipeline management. Strong partnership mindset with experience collaborating across trading, structuring, research, and coverage teams. Track record of operating effectively in a controlled environment with strong attention to risk, conduct, and governance. Ability to lead through ambiguity and perform under time pressure in fast-moving markets. Commitment to inclusive leadership and developing talent through coaching and sponsorship. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Ability to obtain and maintain required registrations, licenses, and training, as applicable to the role and location. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience advising financial sponsors and/or sponsor-owned portfolio companies on rates risk strategy. Background in structuring, solution design, or complex rates derivatives execution. Demonstrated success coordinating global coverage across regions and time zones. Familiarity with sales
