Here's how a Document Control Coordinator for PCL Construction Management Inc. within Edmonton Buildings contributes to our team: Responsibilities
Reviews documents and drawings for necessary data, enters appropriate data into the corresponding PCL document tracking system, and checks records for accuracy and completion. Ensures that all documents are filed electronically on the project computer network and that a record of these filings are recorded in the corresponding PCL document tracking system where applicable. Updates project and contract documents (drawings and specifications) as directed by the project team. Ensures that all required documentation is distributed to required stakeholders internally and externally. Assists in the preparation of project turnover materials including the generation of operations and maintenance manuals, assembly of all documents, and the organization and presentation of the materials. Ensures that all documents are properly submitted to all relevant stakeholders in compliance with contractual requirements and using mandated file transfer protocol (FTP) or document management system (DMS). Audits document log and project file, identifies document discrepancies, and expedites delivery of missing documents. Reports on status of document management process to project manager and drawing/document control supervisor. Assists with the design and implementation of solutions addressing document management issues. Liaises with the project team and external parties for verification and resolution of relevant project and contract documentation issues. Prioritizes tasks to meet the needs of the project team and their respective deadlines. Qualifications
High school diploma required. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn basic construction processes and technology, including drawings and specifications, building material, and required standards applicable to the discipline. Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn PCL and client-specific software.
