Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience required; college degree preferred. Experience: Five or more years of related industry experience and five or more years of supervisory experience in a meat processing facility required. Poultry processing experience preferred. Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HACCP regulations is required. Computer Skills: Standard computer proficiency. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with hourly team members, supervisors, upper management, and government officials. Special Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities. Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage subordinate supervisors and plant team members in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning and directing work, monitoring performance, coaching, counseling, disciplining, rewarding employees, and resolving workplace issues. Travel: 0–20%. Other Requirements: Must lead by example, effectively delegate responsibility, exercise sound judgment and decision-making, and demonstrate strong managerial skills. Candidates should maintain excellent safety and attendance records and be able to work collaboratively with department heads to achieve safety, production, quality, and yield goals.
