This is a highly cross-functional role with global reach. You will collaborate directly with Product & Tech, Legal/Compliance, Risk, Analytics, Marketing, regional business teams, and external insurance partners to launch, scale, and optimize insurance programs across key markets. What you will accomplish Responsible for growing insurance programs as a business area: Manage the strategy, roadmap, economics, and performance of consumer and seller-focused insurance products. Take ownership of program P&L, revenue, margin, attach rate, conversion, customer experience, and partner performance. Launch and scale insurance solutions across markets: Lead the development and rollout of new insurance programs, from opportunity sizing and making the case through partner selection, commercial negotiation, product launch, and ongoing optimization. Build customer-centric protection journeys: Collaborate with Product, Development, Engineering, Analytics, and regional teams to integrate insurance and protection offers into relevant buyer and seller flows. Enhance targeting, offer presentation, eligibility, quote, purchase, servicing, and claims experiences. Drive insurance partnerships and commercial agreements: Discover, appraise, negotiate, and maintain relationships with insurers, brokers, MGAs, warranty providers, insurtechs, and other key partners. Guide contract negotiations, determine commercial arrangements, carry out performance reviews, and manage operational or commercial issues. Balance growth, trust, and regulatory requirements: Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and partner teams to ensure insurance programs meet applicable regulatory, conduct, marketing, and customer protection standards across markets. Support compliant product development, customer communications, and claims-related processes. Drive performance through data and operating rhythm: Establish and manage key performance indicators, reporting, and business reviews. Use data to find opportunities to improve conversion, attach rates, loss ratios, claims experience, customer happiness, revenue, and margin. Contribute to the overall insurance strategy by identifying new products, ways to enter markets, partnership types, and commercial frameworks that improve eBay’s Financial Services for buyers and sellers globally.
