Job Title: Manufacturing Technician D Job Code: MTSD Job Location: Norfolk, VA Job Schedule: 06:00am-02:30pm M-F Job Description: L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our Norfolk VA team. The manufacturing technician will repair and overhaul circuit breakers, sub-assemblies, and related electrical equipment and perform evaluations, maintenance, and repairs on circuit breakers to ensure optimal performance. Essential Functions: Replace or repair faulty components, such as contacts, coils, and insulation. Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized equipment to identify issues with circuit breakers and electrical systems. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems, and non-conformances. Perform current injection, insulation resistance testing, contact resistance testing, and other relevant tests to verify the integrity of circuit breakers. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Maintain accurate records of evaluation and repair activities, including test results and inspections. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and departments. Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and work instructions. Communicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. Make recommendations for solutions.
Qualifications
Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Strong communication skills, both verbally and written. Able to use MS Office (Excel, Word, Etc.) Must have a positive attitude, self-motivated with the ability to handle and complete multiple tasks within defined time limitations. Work with other departments as needed in a professional manner. Preferred Additional Skills: J-STD-001 IPC-A-620 NETA The salary range for this role in Virginia (outside of Greater D.C. area) is $59,000-110,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
