Job Overview
The Maintenance Mechanic III is responsible for supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of plant equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This role works closely with senior maintenance staff and supervision to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on maintenance professional looking to grow technical expertise and take on increasing responsibility within an industrial setting.
Job Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Troubleshoot and support PLC‑controlled equipment (Allen‑Bradley or similar) under guidance or established procedures Diagnose equipment issues and assist in identifying root causes of failures Perform electrical work from low voltage up through 480V, 3‑phase industrial systems , following safety standards Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities to reduce equipment downtime Assist with equipment adjustments, calibration, and setup to ensure quality production Make recommendations for minor equipment improvements and reliability enhancements Utilize company maintenance software (CMMS) to document work orders, PMs, and repairs Maintain good housekeeping practices and keep work areas, equipment, and tools clean and organized Follow all company safety rules, policies, and procedures Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and production personnel Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance; may be required to work evenings, nights, weekends, or overtime as needed
