Job Description As a leader in our Parts department, you will have the opportunity to work at one of our Inspection Centers, directly managing and developing a team of hourly associates while leading the team to provide necessary automotive parts to our teams in a timely and cost-efficient manner. This role will work closely with associates, the local Parts Manager, and production leaders across the Inspection Center to successfully find and order needed automotive parts and manage our inventory. The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, approachable, energetic, and self-motivated, with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization. What you’ll be doing Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Leverage expertise to understand our processes and propose improvements when necessary. Manage our parts processes to ensure parts are ordered correctly and in a timely, cost-efficient manner. Manage and lead the associate team to successfully execute to the desired metrics/results identified by site leadership. Lead and develop a team of parts associates in finding required parts, analyzing cost and managing orders and inventory. Train and develop hourly associates to effectively use necessary reporting and systems and execute our Parts processes. Conscientiously work in ways that decrease the possibility of injury to yourself or other team members and ensure the Parts area meets all necessary safety standards and requirements. Meet or exceed key metrics and goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Conduct business within Carvana policies and procedures. Act ethically, with integrity and in the best interest of the customer and the business at all times. Portray a positive image of Carvana and actively participate in the creation of a positive, professional work environment. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive parts or inventory management in a warehouse/manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a high-level understanding of inventory management, parts sourcing and ordering, and third-party vendor relationships and interactions. Requirements include:
Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive parts or inventory management in a warehouse/manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience working with a wide variety of automotive parts. A valid Driver’s License. A clean driving record with no more than two moving violations or DUI’s in the last three years.
