Project Specialist

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) division is seeking a Project Specialist to support the successful execution of power systems and electrical infrastructure projects. This position can be based in Raleigh, North Carolina or Moon Township, PA.   This position reports into the EESS Strategic Programs team and the primary function is to provide the Strategic Programs team with consistent and intimate support in managing their projects. The Project Specialist is responsible for project cost tracking, ongoing cost estimate validation, project schedule (development/maintenance), creation of purchase requisitions, material and equipment ordering & tracking, subcontractor/vendor requests for pricing, submittal generation/oversight, document control, and warranty support.    The Project Specialist is also responsible for the development/oversight of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)/Cost Milestones for the business unit's revenue recognition projects, as well as supporting ongoing intercompany negotiation activities, specifically including, but not limited to, interfacing within the various company resources for pricing on Eaton equipment and services.   The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $126,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The Project Controls Engineer (PCE) is responsible for project cost tracking, ongoing cost estimate validation, project schedule (development/maintenance), creation of purchase requisitions, material and equipment ordering & tracking, subcontractor/vendor requests for pricing, submittal generation/oversight, document control, and warranty support.    The Project Controls Engineer is also responsible for the development/oversight of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)/Cost Milestones for the business unit's revenue recognition projects, as well as supporting ongoing intercompany negotiation activities, specifically including, but not limited to, interfacing within the various company resources for pricing on Eaton equipment and services.   In this position you will: Interface with other Eaton plants & services for solutions and price negotiation Interface with external vendors for quotation requests Review/create order summaries based off purchase order and proposal files to identify order entry requirements Responsible for equipment order accuracy, Value-Engineer equipment design and equipment schedule for the project Develop & compile project submittals and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals Develop WBS/Cost Milestones forecast worksheets for revenue recognition projects Maintain project schedule, cost tracking, and cost estimate with the project management team Maintain project documentation control and lead lessons learned Lead Program level Backlog meetings and margin reviews Generate 3rd party equipment purchase order requisition Request authorized price levels for order entry in to Bid Manger Process requests for Bid Manager equipment configuration and order entry Provide technical assistance after order receipt & interface with Eaton plants and service organizations File intercompany warranty Requests and manage warranty for orders Manage an entire project as an assigned Project Managers (based on project size and complexity) Manage & support System Factory Acceptance Test Develop & maintain customer SOV (Schedule of Values) and assist in vendor SOV Manage Eaton plant & factory communication Create a bill of materials for a project proposal Qualifications:
