The Second Shift Machinist is capable of operating one type of machine to perform highly routine/repetitive work with minimal supervision. Detailed instruction and guidance are provided as needed. Continues growth in knowledge and skills and acquiring work experience. Typically requires 2-5 years’ experience.

Job Description

Participate in pre-job and Toolbox meetings with crew members. Plan and execute maintenance activities for a designated location (outside of Technology Lifecycle Management activities). Maintain equipment according to procedures, reporting problems or deviations. Operate equipment according to procedures, competency levels and job requirement. Identify opportunities to improve the service delivery process. Participate in failure investigations when relevant. Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.     At SLB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at/near the top of the range. The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $22-$34 per hour.  Qualifications and Experience   High school diploma or GED required. Requires 2+ years’ experience in a related field or in a role that involves the use of hand and/or machine tools. Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
