Job Summary
This position provides analytical support to Dominion Energy South Carolina's (DESC's) Electric Transmission Department and other organizational units to include data management, analysis and reporting, and the electronic maintenance of critical backup files. This position will assist with the administration of DESC's obligations under the FERC Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT), particularly the Generator Interconnection procedures, and the South Carolina Generator Interconnection Procedure (SCGIP). These duties include interacting with interconnection customers, processing interconnection requests, internal and external reporting, processing payments made to DESC under the OATT and SCGIP and performing complex reconciliation of customer accounts. Additionally, this position will:
Prepare, analyze, and present financial case studies for a business process. Define and develop performance metrics, analyze and recommend data collection process improvements, and ensure data integrity as it relates to reporting and analytics. Identify and implement better work and business processes. Develop cost/allocation, cost/benefit programs and models to support the development of business strategies. Develop programs and implement automated methods and systems to track workflow and performance efficiencies. Perform varied analyses of an economic, business, and engineering nature.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following: Business Performance Analyst 2-3+ years of relevant experience in directly related field. Strong planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making. Effective analytical skills. Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in processing Generation Interconnection requests or other FERC Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) requirements is preferred. Ability to perform some level of logical programming is a plus. Senior Business Performance Analyst 5-6+ years of relevant directly related work experience. Demonstrated planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously; ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making. Candidates must possess effective analytical skills, excellent computer skills and oral and written communication skills. Experience in processing Generation Interconnection requests or other FERC Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) requirements is preferred. Ability to perform some level of logical programming is a plus. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in their work, the ability to learn quickly, and the ability to analyze regulatory documents for assessing compliance; must be able to organize and analyze data using spreadsheets for performing deposit tracking, reconciliations, analyzing meter data, and developing invoices for the purpose of
