What does a Facility Maintenance Specialist do?
A Facility Maintenance Specialist ensures the safe, compliant, and uninterrupted operation of all site infrastructure and technical systems. The role combines hands-on maintenance, system monitoring, and project coordination, with a strong focus on Health & Safety (HSE) and operational reliability. This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting critical infrastructure such as HVAC systems, utilities, and building installations, while also coordinating subcontractors, managing technical documentation, and supporting investment and improvement projects. The role plays a key part in minimizing downtime, controlling costs, and supporting continuous improvement of facility performance. Qualifications
Technical education (engineering degree preferred) Experience in facility maintenance, infrastructure maintenance, or industrial technical roles Practical knowledge of systems such as HVAC, compressed air, electrical, utilities, and building infrastructure Ability to diagnose technical issues and manage corrective actions Experience working with contractors and coordinating external services Familiarity with technical documentation, maintenance systems, and purchasing processes Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure Knowledge of HSE standards and compliance requirements Additional certifications (e.g., SEP) or experience with systems such as BMS, SAP, Coupa, ISO/BRC, CAPEX projects are a plus Basic technical English is an advantage Why do we need you?

Ensuring full compliance with HSE standards and identifying risks during maintenance, inspections, and projects Performing regular infrastructure inspections (TPM) to monitor performance and prevent failures Managing and responding to equipment breakdowns, minimizing disruption to production Coordinating external contractors and service providers, ensuring quality and safety standards are met Planning and executing preventive maintenance and minor repair
