Senior Manufacturing Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, with expertise in airplane structures, production readiness and composite fabrication. Position
Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for air vehicle structures with composite fabrication parts Ensure production readiness by identifying and mitigating risks, optimizing workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency Support operations by streamlining processes, improving quality, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers Utilize data analysis and engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and assembly considerations This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills/Experience): This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience) 1+ years of experience in composites fabrication Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers Experience with 3D model-based instruction Experience with any of the following: Siemens NX, IVT, CREO, CATIA, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA, Experience with VisMockup, ProModel, FlexSim, 3D Printed Parts, Maker Space, ImDev, ICIDO, Multi- Monitor Collaborative Rooms, rapid prototyping or manufacturing Experience leading Full Size Determinant Assembly (FSDA) development/deployment activity Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci) Experience reviewing and approving other engineers’ work (installation plans, tool orders, line stock checks, etc.) Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
