Job Overview
Supports logistics processes, activities, and customers for all modes of transportation. Job Requirements
Analyzing logistics plans and identifying opportunities for distribution quality improvement. Taking effective measures to reduce transportation expenses by generating and analyzing reports of transportation costs and carrier performance. Helping optimize shipments between distribution centers and customers and facilitate communication of transportation operations between carriers, suppliers and partners. Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.
What your background should look like
Position Overview: Responsible for overseeing logistics improvement projects for the Americas logistics team, including strategic planning and implementation to improve the efficiency of the supply chain for both internal and external customers. This position will support in planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring the various projects insuring the leanest global logistics operation for the Americas sites. Qualifications: • Knowledge of CTPAT, OEA • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Advanced knowledge on analytics and administrative tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) • Knowledge of SAP. • Understanding of key performance metrics. • Verifiable change agent and facilitator with excellent problem-solving skills and leadership. • Proven ability to work in teams with strong initiative to win. • Excellent oral and written communication and influential skills. • Motivated self-starter will have to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with multiple departments utilizing excellent interpersonal skills. • Able to demonstrate TE’s core values, should always strive to act in an ethical and respectful manner. • Strong experience in implementation and management of programs / projects with a winning record. • Global Mindset should be able to communicate across borders to deliver results. • General knowledge on hazmat regulations Education: BS/BA degree required; International trade/business or related.
