Divisional Description: Group COO - Global Procurement ( GP ) enables Deutsche Bank ( DB ) to optimize supplier relationships to meet its strategic objectives We partner across the bank to develop and execute strategies to meet our business requirements We apply our understanding of the supply market and specialized procurement capabilities to optimize value created We enable the bank to access suppliers by identifying and mitigating vendor risks We manage the platforms to enable efficient purchasing of goods and services Team Description: Within GP, the Procurement Transformation & Remediation (T&R) team underpins and enables the ambitions of GP through partnering and strong alignment across the function to deliver transformation, defining learning & development and unlocking value creation. The Process Orchestrator project is a transformation programme delivered by T&R to redesign the end-to-end procurement journey and deliver the target-state process and technology needed to address current process pain points. It brings together process and control redesign, intelligent intake management, workflow orchestration, data foundations, reporting, chatbot-enabled support and operations automation, with the aim of creating a single front door for procurement demand, clearer routing and triage, improved end-to-end visibility, stronger auditability, and a more joined-up user experience across downstream procurement processes. The Senior Business Functional Analyst will lead the Ops Automation workstream within the Process Orchestrator programme, taking responsibility for translating automation opportunities into practical business requirements, target-state process designs and a sequenced transformation plan. The role will assess opportunities across processes such as support, vendor enablement, PR compliance and payments, working closely with Deutsche Bank stakeholders to understand current-state pain points, define automation potential and shape implementation readiness. The role requires a senior transformation professional who can connect business process knowledge, automation experience and business analysis discipline to drive measurable operational improvement. This includes assessing process and organisational impacts, defining business requirements, supporting testing readiness, and ensuring that proposed automation solutions are aligned to the wider transformation objectives, stakeholder needs and implementation roadmap.
Responsibilities
Lead the Ops Automation workstream, identifying and prioritising automation opportunities across support, vendor enablement, PR compliance, payments and related operational processes. Work with business, operations, technology and transformation stakeholders to assess current-state processes, pain points, automation potential and implementation considerations. Translate automation opportunities into clear business requirements, target-state process inputs, testing readiness expectations and delivery dependencies. Develop automation potential assessments and organisational impact assessments, including impacts on roles, controls, hand-offs, ways of working and operational ownership. Shape and maintain a practical, sequenced transformation plan that converts automation opportunities into deliverable initiatives aligned to programme priorities and business outcomes.
