About the Role
This role is on the ETO DevOps Services Team - focuses on automating and supporting cloud infrastructure and application deployment to enhance self-service capabilities using infrastructure-as-code, DevOps tools, and open-source technologies. You will use your expertise in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Argo), and observability tools to ensure resilient and S recoverable systems. The position involves collaborating with architects, engineers, and operations teams to design, deploy, manage, and operate development, test, and production environments. Proficiency in AWS, Kubernetes orchestration, and Python scripting is required to drive automation and innovation. The role is also responsible for incorporating AI-driven automation to improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of DevOps processes and deployment pipelines.
What You Will Do
Ensure the stability, reliability, and security of Gartner’s enterprise application environments, consistently meeting or exceeding SLAs and OLAs. Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools in Python to streamline infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring processes. Collaborate proactively with software engineers, architects, and operations teams to support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code initiatives using tools such as Terraform and Jenkins/ CloudBees . Enforce best practices for cloud security, compliance, and governance throughout the DevOps lifecycle. Monitor system performance, diagnose and resolve issues, and optimize cloud resources to achieve service level objectives . Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team. Participate in capacity planning, load testing, incident management, and provide ad-hoc after- hours production support as needed. Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging cloud technologies and DevOps tools to enhance infrastructure and automation capabilities. Assist in managing Kubernetes clusters and refining application deployment workflows. Partner with engineering teams to execute and support DevOps strategies across various projects. Champion continuous improvement in areas such as monitoring, automation, and operational efficiency. Oversee system patching, vulnerability management, and security updates across multiple environments. Lead initiatives for cost optimization and performance enhancement in cloud infrastructure. Ensure high availability of critical applications and manage multi-region cloud environments to support resilient and robust operations. Implement and manage one-click deployment solutions to streamline application releases and boost operational efficiency. Prepare and deliver status reports to the Team Manager, Senior Director, and VP of Application Services within Enterprise Technology and Operations.
What You Will Need
