As a Senior Software Architect, you will be tasked with driving the transformation of one of our core systems into a scalable modern microservices architecture and defining the next generation of our platform. In this high-visibility, high-impact role, you will lead an ambitious initiative to break down a complex monolithic system written primarily in Python into a scalable, multi-tenant, cloud-native set of services (primarily in modern Java, and Go as a secondary language). You will collaborate across the SentinelOne engineering organization with multiple engineering and product management leaders to design solutions capable of handling global SaaS scale processing daily petabytes of data and hundreds of billions of events.

What Will You Do?

• Dive deep into our current monolithic architecture, identify pain points, and design innovative solutions to address them in an iterative way.

• Lead the design and development of a new microservices architecture that supports scalability, maintainability, and operational excellence.

• Collaborate with departments and teams to evaluate and implement the right tools, frameworks, and methodologies for building a robust microservices ecosystem.

• Write high-quality, production-ready code (primarily in Java) in a hands-on capacity.

• Guide and mentor other engineers, contribute to their professional growth, share best practices and architectural insights, and foster a culture of engineering excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

• Partner with other engineering organizations and teams across the globe, with product, design, quality, DevOps/Infra teams and leadership to align on objectives, design, timelines, and execution strategies.

• Our Platform stack: Java (primary; Spring (Boot) ecosystem), Go (secondary), and Python (legacy); Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, FedRAMP; GitHub Actions, ArgoCD; GitHub Enterprise; depending on requirements of the service for communication we use Kafka, REST API, GraphQL, gRPC etc.; Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse; Prometheus/Thanos,
