They are experts   of   operations,   process   and efficiency. This team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation,   pricing   and promotional signing processes for all Food   &   Beverage areas of the store.   At Target ,   we believe in our team members having meaningful experiences that help them build and develop skills for a career. The role of a Baker can provide you with the   skills and experiences of :   G uest service fundamentals and experience building a guest - first culture in food   P repar ing   quality products in the Bakery   M onitoring sales of products and adjusting production to drive efficiency, profitability and   minimize   waste     As a   Baker ,   no two days   are ever the same, but a typical day will   most likely include   the following responsibilities:   Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:   Greet:   10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave   4ft: greet the guest, smile and   initiate   a warm, helpful interaction   Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience   End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you   Actively support team efforts and   assist   peers in other areas while   maintaining   a positive and respectful attitude   Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience   Deliver an exceptional guest experience   by   providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritiz ing the guest’s needs over task .   Uphold and   maintain   the execution of th e   Food   &   Beverage Standards .   Engage with guests to capture   and fulfill   their customized Bakery order .   Execute   F ood   &   B everage processes including food deliveries, replenishment,   straightening   merchandis e ,   instocks   routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning,   signing   and   organizing and storing reserve product.   Produce, package and label items to s pecifications on production cards and follow specific department routines to drive sales,   instocks   and profitability   Follow all food safety requirements , including monitoring and recording temperature sensitive food   items,   as   outline d   in   Target's policies and procedures .   Locate and   identify   damaged,   recalled   or expired items and   proc ess   according t o   Target's policies a nd procedures .   Use samp ling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales .     Follow proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure an   accurate recording of inventory .   Appropriately use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment; foll ow equipment control guidelines .   Always   demonstrate   a culture of ethical   conduct,   safety   and compliance .   Work in a safe manner   at all times ;   comply with   all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.   Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and   maintain   a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local   adult beverage   laws .   All other duties based on business needs     WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR   This may be the right job for you if:   You enjoy
