Lead Project Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring a Lead Project Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure for a Proprietary Program in Hazelwood, MO . This role is execution focused and placed within the Digital Infrastructure Segment (DIS), with a strong emphasis on Cloud Computing. This role provides an opportunity to combine engineering leadership and program execution to influence the next generation of digital capabilities on a proprietary defense program.
Position
Responsibilities: Lead project execution for DIS work packages that heavily leverage Cloud Engineering capabilities. Plan, coordinate, and manage cross-functional teams to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. Define work packages, allocate resources, track progress, and manage subcontractor activities. Establish and monitor performance metrics and analytics to measure technical and business outcomes. Manage Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and analysis; support risk, issue, and opportunity management. Respond to changes in Statement of Work (SOW), assess impacts, and negotiate modifications to deliverables, costs, and schedules. Serve as Cost Account Manager (CAM) as assigned. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and the customer. Promote a transparent, inclusive, and collaborative team culture. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Hazelwood, MO. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates.
Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. Experience working within an Agile environment Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with Cloud Infrastructure and hosting applications in the cloud Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
