Entra Core Services seeks Senior Technical Program Managers to drive complex programs for capacity management in support of our global Microsoft Entra Services. The successful candidate will be chartered with delivering critical outcomes for the business units that span 70+ service engineering teams. Capacity management is a central function that partners closely with Microsoft Entra service engineering teams, datacenter Capacity Supply Chain & Provisioning, COGS management, as well as the core services’ buildout and automation teams. Programs you own improve our engineering processes you will make it better to be an engineer at Microsoft Entra. You will make it more efficient to operate hyperscale infrastructure running on millions of cloud instances globally. We are looking for a well-rounded capacity planning program manager with strong partner management skills, supply chain knowledge, and the ability to meet our service engineering objectives while optimizing efficiency to ensure that the right capacity is available in the right place at the right time. Responsibilities
Lead and drive complex, cross-organizational capacity management programs supporting Microsoft Entra services across 150+ service engineering teams. Develop and execute capacity planning strategies to ensure infrastructure availability aligns with service growth, reliability, and engineering requirements. Partner closely with service engineering teams, Datacenter Capacity Supply Chain & Provisioning, buildout teams, automation teams, and finance stakeholders to coordinate capacity delivery and optimize resource utilization. Manage the end-to-end capacity lifecycle, including forecasting demand, securing supply, tracking deployment readiness, and mitigating capacity risks. Optimize infrastructure efficiency across hyperscale cloud environments operating millions of compute instances globally, balancing service requirements with cost and utilization objectives. Drive data-driven decision making through capacity analysis, forecasting models, and operational insights to support strategic planning and investment decisions. Establish cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders to deliver capacity outcomes that meet service-level commitments and business priorities. Identify and implement automation, process improvements, and operational best practices that increase scalability and improve the efficiency of capacity management operations.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience. 2+ years
