Position

Overview: The selected Systems Engineer – Level 2 or 3 responsibilities will include the support of the BOA program as an individual contributor on the Systems Engineering team. This role is responsible for developing systems engineering products that directly support the design and development of BOA software development capabilities. Essential Functions : Perform technical planning, support design reviews, and support the development of a tool to communicate and track action items internally and with our customers. Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering, requirements, and design artifacts. Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature systems architecture content for large program designs. Conduct pre-review assessments to ensure readiness prior to formal design review. Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. This requisition may be filled at either a Systems Engineer – Level 2 or a Principal Systems Engineer – Level 3.

Basic Qualifications

(Systems Engineer – Level 2 or 3): Systems Engineer Level 2: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM and 0-2 years of related work experience. Principal Systems Engineer Level 3: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM and 3 years of related work experience, or a PhD. and 1 year of related work experience. Experience with DOORS, CAMEO, and/or Model Based Systems Engineering. Applicants must demonstrate a strong technical background in architecture development, functional decomposition, requirements development and allocation, and interface definition with system-modelling tools. Applicants must be able to demonstrate knowledge of MBSE and the use of SysML to describe behaviors of a complex DoD system Experience authoring requirements or developing verification strategies.
