ROLE
OBJECTIVE As R&D/PRODUCT DVL ENGINEER II in TE Connectivity’s Digital Data & Networks (DDN) Business Unit, you will work in a global sustaining engineering team responsible for the continued support and evolution of production parts and products throughout their lifecycle. This includes driving product lifecycle management, product extensions, rapid NPIs, VAVE initiatives, sustainability improvements, material and process changes, and manufacturing location transfers. The role also involves providing technical support to plants, suppliers, and customers to ensure continuity, quality, and cost optimization. Job Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for sustaining activities for the Antenna, RF, COAX cable and connector product lines. Execute critical engineering projects, including manufacturing transfers, sustaining, product extensions, cost reduction (VAVE), sustainability and rapid New Product Introduction. Represent engineering in customer meetings, project meetings and site visits, providing technical support and insights as needed. To execute RF laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings. To advise and provide test and measurement services with accuracy and responsibility. Ensure the upkeep of technical documentation, including test procedures, failure reports, validation data, and the preparation, presentation, and execution of test reports based on test results. Characterize antenna performance by conducting electrical tests using a vector network analyzer and an anechoic chamber Supervise and train Interns for test and measurement tasks. Characterize and provide advice on densense issues to meet OTA requirements. Review datasheets and application notes, update manufacturing test plans with MPDE, and prepare the necessary documentation for antenna certification. Update network planning files in the system in various formats, including Planet, MSI, ATOLL, and VEX, into the system and provide customers with the updated files. Support the complete product life cycle (Design updates, Creation of product specifications, Prototyping, Product testing, Product qualification, Project Execution & Sustaining till product end of life) RF design simulations using industry-standard RF simulation tools to extract and analyze data in accordance with technical and performance
