This evergreen opportunity is designed to build a pipeline of technical talent for current and future Scientist and Senior Scientist positions within our Technology organization in India.

As a Scientist or Senior Scientist, you will contribute to the development, optimization, and commercialization of innovative coating technologies while working closely with customers, Operations, Technical Service, and Commercial teams. Product Development & Formulation Develop and optimize coatings formulations, including primers, topcoats, and specialty products, to meet customer and market requirements. Apply knowledge of coatings, resins, pigments, additives, and curing chemistries to solve technical and business challenges. Design and execute formulation development programs based on customer specifications and performance requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, performance, and manufacturing efficiency. Technical Evaluation & Testing Conduct laboratory testing and performance evaluations according to established test methods and product specifications. Prepare paint samples, panels, and laboratory evaluations to support development projects and customer programs. Utilize analytical testing methods to assess product performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Interpret and analyze experimental results and provide recommendations for future development activities. Customer & Manufacturing Support Collaborate with customers to understand technical requirements and provide solutions to application or performance challenges. Support new product introductions, line trials, and commercial launches at customer facilities. Partner with Operations teams to ensure successful transfer of products from development to manufacturing. Assist with troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, and process optimization activities. Project Management & Collaboration Manage multiple projects and priorities while delivering results against established timelines. Contribute to project planning, technical reviews, and cross-functional problem-solving initiatives. Maintain complete and accurate project documentation in accordance with quality and audit requirements. Communicate technical findings and project progress through reports, presentations, and team meetings. Safety & Continuous Improvement Promote a culture of safety and maintain high standards within laboratory and work environments. Support 5S, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Education Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in: Paint Technology Polymer Science Polymer & Surface Engineering Chemical Engineering Chemistry Materials Science Related Technical Discipline Experience Experience in coatings, paints, polymers, specialty chemicals, or related industries. Experience in formulation development, product testing, technical support, or R&D environments. Technical Competencies Strong understanding of coatings formulations and application technologies. Knowledge of laboratory testing methods and performance evaluation techniques. Experience supporting product commercialization and manufacturing transfer activities. Ability to interpret technical data and solve complex formulation challenges. Understanding of quality
