Job Summary
Tube Service is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse Order Puller to join our team. This position is responsible for accurately pulling customer orders, operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining an organized warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to working safely in an industrial steel warehouse environment. Job Function Pull customer orders accurately and efficiently according to work orders. Identify, locate, and stage steel tubing, pipe, bar, and structural materials. Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment (training provided if needed). Load and unload trucks while following proper material securement and line-of-fire safety practices. Verify material quantities, sizes, grades, and lengths before shipment. Band, package, label, and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup. Perform daily equipment inspections and report defects immediately. Keep warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and operating procedures. Assist with inventory counts and material organization. Work closely with warehouse personnel, drivers, and supervisors to meet customer deadlines. Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or steel service center experience preferred. Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus. Ability to read work orders and use a tape measure accurately. Basic math skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to climb on and off forklifts safely. Work in varying warehouse temperatures and weather conditions. Ability to safely handle long, heavy steel products. Pass pre employment drug screen. Safety Requirements Wear required PPE including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hard hat, gloves, hearing protection, and other required equipment. Follow all Line of Fire (LOF), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), forklift, crane, and material handling procedures. Maintain awareness of suspended loads and pinch point hazards. Use No-Touch Tools (NTTs) where required. Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.
