About this role
About TensorWave Our mission is simple: deliver seamless, secure, reliable, and resilient AI compute at scale. We've built a versatile cloud platform that eliminates infrastructure barriers, empowering builders to focus on innovation instead of fighting their stack. Because breakthrough AI should move at the speed of ideas, not infrastructure.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Director of Global Data Center Construction to join our team during an exciting phase of growth. In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading our global data center construction program, overseeing the delivery of a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of AI infrastructure projects while ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to drive construction strategy, manage key vendor and contractor relationships, mitigate risk, and support business objectives while upholding our standards for excellence, collaboration, and impact. What You’ll Do Oversee the entire global data center construction portfolio, managing a multi-billion-dollar capital expenditure budget and delivery pipeline. Develop and execute the program-level construction strategy, including selection and management of general contractors (GCs), EPCM firms, and key vendor partners. Accountable for ensuring all projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and to the specified quality and technical standards required for AI compute operations. Establish program-wide construction risk management, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) protocols, and project reporting metrics. Collaborate with Site Acquisition, Design, and Sourcing teams to de-risk projects and resolve complex technical or contractual issues at an executive level.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. 15+ years of experience managing large-scale, complex industrial or critical infrastructure construction programs. 7+ years of experience in the hyperscale data center or mission-critical facility sector. Proven expertise in large-scale contract negotiation (e.g., Guaranteed Maximum Price - GMP).
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
