Key job responsibilities - Manage cross-functional engineering, product, data science, and business teams to deliver scientific programs that enhance employee experiences, developing detailed plans, schedules, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies - Identify dependencies and enable seamless collaboration between technical teams building AI/ML models, product managers defining requirements, data scientists and economists providing insights, and business stakeholders across Amazon's employee services - Lead communication and provide executive visibility into high-impact programs, continuously monitoring progress, highlighting roadblocks early, and developing contingency plans to ensure successful delivery - Accountable for developing and implementing overall strategy and driving teams inside and outside of the organization to deliver results. - Mentor and develop junior Technical Program Managers, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their career growth About the team The Central Science Team within Amazon's People Experience and Technology organization uses economics, behavioral science, statistics, and machine learning to proactively identify mechanisms and process improvements which simultaneously improve Amazon and the lives, wellbeing, and value of work for Amazonians.
