Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Quantitative Model Manager (multiple positions) in Charlotte, NC.
Essential Responsibilities
Execute advanced data compilation, programming skills, and qualitative analysis skills. Establish various regression techniques, parametric and non-parametric algorithms, times series techniques, and other statistical models, various model validation tests and methodologies, using SAS or similar statistical package. Analyze quantitative and qualitative risk factors, industry risks, competition risks, and risk management approaches. Facilitate applicable regulatory rules, guidance, and supervisory letters. Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and project management skills.
Basic Qualifications
Position requires a Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, or Financial Mathematics, and 2 years in a Quantitative Analyst, or related, occupation. Required Skills/Experience: Must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: • Security Valuation and Option Pricing to optimize formulas of Rates and MBS valuation through discounted cashflow analysis using Monte Carlo simulation; • Translate US treasury and mortgage market signals into model parameters in linear combination, tested through statistical regression analysis; • Mathematical Research for drafting Interest Rate Term Structure modeling by solving stochastic equations; • Regression analysis with Python in mortgage rate model and implement valuation engine for MBS; • Code sharing procedure and maintain modeling version control with Git; and, • Investment portfolio data and prepayment data for valuation and risk metrics calculation process using SQL, python and Excel. Teams may work from home and the office. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $ 97,011 - $ 164,100 .
