Role

Description Form Energy is hiring a Senior Engineering Technician to support electrical prototype builds and test equipment for our Product Engineering organization. This role is intended for an experienced, hands-on technician with strong electrical knowledge and deep experience fabricating high-quality wire harnesses. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to turn electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, pinouts, and evolving design information into working hardware. Your primary focus will be building, modifying, testing, and troubleshooting wire harnesses, control panels, electrical assemblies, and prototype test systems.

What you'll do

Fabricate complex wire harnesses for prototype products, test assets, battery systems, and electrical validation equipment. Build harnesses from schematics, wiring diagrams, pinout tables, CAD models, and other engineering documentation that may still be changing. Select and install the correct wire, terminals, connectors, seals, labels, sleeving, heat shrink, and protective coverings for each application. Perform precision wire cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, splicing, routing, bundling, shielding, and connector assembly. Inspect and test completed harnesses using continuity checks, point-to-point verification, resistance measurements, and other electrical test methods. Perform soldering and basic PCBA rework when supporting prototype builds and electrical troubleshooting. Work directly with engineers to identify drawing errors, unclear requirements, assembly concerns, and opportunities to improve harness or electrical designs.

What you'll bring

5+ years of hands-on experience building electrical systems, wire harnesses, prototype hardware, test equipment, or industrial control systems. Strong experience fabricating complex wire harnesses, including wire preparation, crimping, soldering, splicing, shielding, labeling, routing, and connector assembly. Ability to read and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, connector pinouts, cable drawings, BOMs, and evolving engineering documentation. Strong knowledge of electrical connectors, terminals, crimp tooling, wire types, wire gauges, insulation materials, sleeving, and strain-relief methods. Experience inspecting and testing harnesses using multimeters, continuity testers, insulation testers, and
