Software Development Manager, Alexa Shopping-Core

The Alexa Shopping team is reimagining how customers discover products, manage their lists, buy everyday essentials and groceries, and make confident purchase decisions through voice, touch, and generative AI. This is a 0→1 opportunity. We're looking for a Software Development Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team in building an intelligence framework that defines and enforces the quality bar for everything Alexa Shopping ships. You'll make the foundational architectural calls and set the technical direction the rest of the org builds against. The scope is horizontal by design. Rather than owning one customer experience, you'll own the capability all of them depend on — which means your decisions compound across the entire org. Success looks like a system that lets teams ship faster and safer, replacing manual judgment with AI-driven intelligence at the right gate. You'll work at the intersection of agentic systems, machine learning, and e-commerce, partnering with engineers, applied scientists, and product leaders across Alexa.
