We ensure efficient asset utilization, proactively mitigate risks, and ensure full compliance with regulatory bodies.
We are seeking a Financial Operations Manager to join our growing team on the ground in Singapore. In this role, you will lead our local financial regulatory reporting and finops work, ensuring adherence to Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulations while collaborating across international entities. At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.
What you'll do
• Manage risk for back-office activities by maintaining controls over customer and firm cash, suspense accounts, and exception handling. Execute daily trust and custody computations by the strict deadline of 12:00 PM SGT in compliance with Securities and Futures (Licensing and Conduct of Business) Regulations (SF(LCB)R).
• Manage automated MT940 (Swift) messages and API pulls, extract customer ledger balances, and download statements from trust banks and sub-custodians. Reconcile security quantities against sub-custodian statements and verify no liens or encumbrances are placed on customer assets.
• Monitor Financial Resources to ensure continuous compliance above Total Risk Requirement (TRR) limits. Prepare and submit quarterly filings via the MAS-Tx portal, including Form 1 (Statement of Assets & Liabilities), Form 2 (Statement of Financial Resources & TRR), and Form 7 (Aggregate Margin Exposure).
• Partner closely with Corporate Accounting, Treasury, RHS Clearing, and Engineering teams to support system transitions (e.g., system migrations, report automation) and cross-train across broader global entity reporting.
What you bring
• Deep understanding of MAS Risk-Based Capital (RBC) frameworks, SF(LCB)R requirements, and capital requirements for broker-dealers in Singapore.
• 5+ years of experience in financial operations or regulatory reporting within a broker-dealer or financial institution in Singapore.
• Experience managing back-office ledger systems, Swift/API data feeds, and reporting automation using tools like Excel/Google Sheets (SQL or data visualization tools like Superset are a plus).
• Strong self-starter attitude with proven success operating independently in a fast-paced environment and managing time-sensitive regulatory
