Job Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and documentation to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality products. This role supports current product production of industrialized products, introduction of New Product Introduction (NPI), process validation, capacity planning, and operational excellence initiatives aligned with Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement systems, and ERP/MRP integration. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Facilities, and Product Engineering to ensure production readiness, process capability, and compliance with applicable standards (e.g., ISO, API, ESD, or customer-specific requirements depending on product line). Job Requirements
Essential Duties *Create and maintain standard work, routings, and work instructions *Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products *Assist with product qualification efforts *Perform time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis *Support layout, design, and workflow optimization for production areas. *Support tooling design activities *Identify and eliminate waste using Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED, etc.) *Drives results through collaboration, influence, and reporting relationships *Collaborates effectively with colleagues and peers *Interacts and/or negotiates effectively with external and/or internal individuals to meet objectives *Utilizes Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive business initiatives HSE Function *This position is office-based with frequent interaction on the manufacturing floor to support production, process improvement, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities. *The employee may be exposed to a manufacturing environment that includes moving mechanical parts, noise, and industrial equipment. Appropriate PPE shall be required when on the production floor. *This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
