Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Landscape Architect to be based in Los Angeles, California or Honolulu. HI . This position is expected to begin in Summer 2026. About Buildings + Places AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture in a dynamic, interactive, and creative work environment. With a range of expertise from strategy and design through project realization, we create better outcomes to grow economies, protect natural systems, conserve natural resources, make societies more equitable and connect and engage people through innovative, sustainable design solutions. Job Summary/Responsibilities: Play an active role in the design process from concept through construction. Assist in the preparation of graphic design and technical drawings. Collaborate with project team members across disciplines. Under the direction of the Supervising Landscape Architect, may independently perform technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Landscape Architecture degree (BLA/BSLA/MLA) from an LAAB accredited institution and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience or education.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant professional Landscape Architecture experience. Actively pursuing licensure. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent graphic, verbal, and written communication skills. Self-motivated and the ability to proactively solve challenges. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite, hand drawing. Proficiency in 3D modeling (Rhino3D). Desire and ability to integrate seamlessly into both landscape architecture and multi-disciplinary design teams. Collaborate with project team members across disciplines. LEED GA/AP, SITES AP, or ENV SP credentials. Familiarity with Southern California native and climate-appropriate plant communities. Experience preparing construction documents. Experience with advanced modeling and analysis software (e.g. Revit, Grasshopper3D, ArcGIS). Experience with advanced visualization software and plugins (e.g. Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray).
