AECOM is currently seeking a Manager of Construction for multiple projects in Fairfield, County Connecticut. This position will be part of an exciting team managing current and future construction projects related to major water and wastewater pump stations and transmission systems. This is an opportunity to work on some of our nation’s most pressing water infrastructure problems and contributing to AECOM’s success as an industry leader in engineering and construction. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Contract management with emphasis on being liaison between AECOM design team, Contractor and Owner. Confirms that the contractor is submitting all submittals for review in a timely fashion so as not to inhibit the progress of the work. Technical and contractual input and review of active construction projects. Review of requests for information, change order proposals, pay requisitions, schedules, general and contractual correspondence between Engineer and Contractors. Management of multiple projects with onsite presence for construction meetings and at critical milestone events. Position is not intended for full time inspection of any one given project. Prepare and manage correspondence related to construction and identify key issues regarding disputed work, delays, additional and supplemental work, and non-conforming work. Ensure that safety monitoring activities within the Projects(s) scope of work are being accomplished. Monitor safety activities per AECOM scope of work. Assist Resident Engineer and inspection staff in expediting technical solutions to field problems. Notify Engineer of any discrepancies between contract documents and work being performed. Review and resolution and/or approval of Inspector and Contractor reporting, forms, testing, compliance and coordination issues. Leads in the negotiation of Change Orders Verify
