We are building the infrastructure that will power the next generation of cross-border payment systems for institutions. The team's execution has been exceptional, and we're scaling at a remarkable pace. Our stellar early team brings experience at companies such as J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, FalconX, PayPal, Affirm, Polygon, Kraken, Nium & others. We're backed by Accel, Lightspeed, NfX, and other top-tier investors.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Account Executive, North America to join our dynamic go-to-market team. You'll own the full sales cycle for institutional customers across North America — from prospecting through close, helping banks, fintechs, and other institutions move money faster and more efficiently across borders.

New Business Development
• Build and manage a pipeline of institutional prospects across North America, from initial outreach through qualification
• Identify and prioritize target accounts — banks, fintechs, and other institutions with cross-border payment needs
Full-Cycle Sales Execution
• Own deals end-to-end: discovery, solution design, negotiation, and close
• Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
• Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data in the CRM
Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management
• Develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (Treasury, Finance, Payments, and Operations leaders) at prospective and existing clients
• Serve as a strategic advisor, understanding each client's cross-border payment needs and tailoring OpenFX's value proposition accordingly
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Legal & Compliance, and Marketing to navigate technical integrations and structure deals
• Work with leadership to refine sales strategy, messaging, and positioning as the go-to-market motion matures
Market Strategy & Intelligence
• Stay close to trends in cross-border payments and institutional finance to inform territory and account strategy
• Share client feedback with Product to help shape the roadmap
Must-haves
• 5+ years of full-cycle, quota-carrying sales experience in fintech or payments
• A proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from prospecting to close
• Strong communication, negotiation, and executive presence
• Comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
• Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot) for pipeline and forecast management
What helps you stand out
• Experience selling into banks, fintechs, or other financial institutions
• Background in cross-border payments, FX, treasury, or related infrastructure
• Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup, helping build sales process and playbooks from the ground up
• An existing network of relevant buyer personas within target institutions
What We Offer
