Fuel your passion As a Lead Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and testing high-voltage X-ray generators, X-ray tubes, and associated X-ray subsystems. This role supports in-house repairs, field service activities, and preventive maintenance programs while ensuring compliance with radiation safety standards and manufacturer specifications. You will provide hands-on technical expertise while supporting the development and mentoring of service technicians, coordinating repair activities, and collaborating closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Customer Support teams. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, sound technical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to lead complex service activities from initial diagnosis through final resolution. As a Lead Service Technician, you will be responsible for: Diagnosing and repairing high-voltage X-ray generators, power supplies, control boards, and inverter modules. Performing X-ray tube testing, conditioning, vacuum integrity checks, and filament, cathode, and anode evaluations and repairs. Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and thermal issues using schematics, high-voltage diagrams, and diagnostic tools. Executing preventive maintenance on generators, X-ray tubes, cooling systems, and interlock circuits. Documenting repairs, test results, parts usage, and failure analysis in service reports. Maintaining compliance with radiation safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and ESD requirements. Supporting RMA evaluations, root cause analysis, and refurbishment activities. Assisting with customer communications regarding repair findings, timelines, and recommendations. Providing technical leadership, mentoring, training, and support to service technicians and other technical personnel. Supporting service planning, prioritization, and coordination of multiple repair activities to reduce turnaround times. Traveling domestically and internationally as required for training and related service activities. To be successful in this role you will: Have a technical diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience in a related field. Have experience working with high-voltage systems and equipment operating at hazardous voltage levels. Demonstrate experience supporting customer escalations and complex field service activities. Have experience with quality systems, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives. Possess knowledge of applicable electrical, radiation safety, and equipment compliance requirements. Have experience developing technical training materials, service procedures, and troubleshooting documentation. Be able to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals. Demonstrate proficiency using oscilloscopes, high-voltage probes, multimeters, and diagnostic software tools. Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Be able to safely lift 40–50 lbs and work around high-voltage and X-ray systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Have 3–5 years of experience servicing X-ray generators, X-ray tubes, or high-voltage imaging equipment. Have experience in refurbishment, failure analysis, or component-level board repair. Demonstrate
