Job Description and Requirements
We Are Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow. You Are You have spent years deep in the trenches of ASIC verification, and you know that emulation is where the rubber meets the road. When a design is too big for simulation and too critical to wait, you are the person who makes it run. You understand the difference between a tool that works in theory and one that helps a customer hit their tape-out date, and you care about closing that gap. Sitting with a customer's broken testbench on a Monday morning, you trace through Verilog, SystemVerilog, and C code to figure out why their SoC is not booting and then walk them through the fix in a way that makes sense. Perfect runbooks are not your starting point. You ask the right questions, reproduce the issue, and work the problem until it is solved. Being the bridge between R&D and the real world is where you thrive. When a customer hits a wall, you translate their design into something our emulation platform can handle, and when our platform has a gap, you bring that feedback back to engineering in a way that actually moves the product forward. At Synopsys, you will work on ZeBu, the industry's performance and capacity leader in emulation, and help customers verify the chips that power everything from AI to autonomous vehicles.
What You'll Be Doing
Deploy and configure ZeBu emulation systems for customer evaluations and production use, working through complex bring-up issues on cutting edge ASIC and SoC designs Debug verification and software validation issues across customer designs, tracing problems through HDL, HVL, and embedded software layers to root cause Work directly with customers during presales evaluations to demonstrate ZeBu capabilities, build proof-of-concept flows, and help them understand how emulation fits their verification strategy Provide both pre and post-sales technical support, resolving escalations that involve design methodology, tool configuration, performance tuning, or integration with broader verification flows Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams to communicate customer requirements, document recurring issues, and contribute to product roadmap discussions Develop application notes, reference flows, and technical collateral that help customers adopt emulation more effectively Analyze customer designs to recommend partitioning strategies, testbench architectures, and co-simulation approaches that maximize emulation performance and capacity The Impact You Will Have Enable customers to verify complex SoCs faster and more thoroughly, directly affecting their ability to meet tape-out schedules and product launch dates Reduce time to deployment for ZeBu systems, turning evaluations into production wins and helping customers realize ROI sooner Surface real-world design and tool gaps that shape the ZeBu product roadmap and improve the emulation platform for all users Build customer confidence in Synopsys verification solutions, strengthening long-term relationships and opening doors for broader tool adoption Accelerate the adoption of emulation across new customer segments by creating reusable flows and proven methodologies Help customers catch critical bugs earlier in the design cycle, reducing costly respins and improving overall chip quality Contribute technical expertise that differentiates Synopsys in competitive evaluations and complex customer engagements What You'll Need Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of hands-on
