About this role
What you’ll be part of
Garner is on a mission to transform the U.S. healthcare system — and we’re the only proven player doing exactly that. We partner with employers to redesign how healthcare works: applying 550+ proprietary clinical metrics across 80+ specialties to a dataset of 320M+ patients to identify the best-performing doctors, then using compelling incentives to steer members to the care that helps them get healthier, faster.
The result is a rare “win win” — better care and lower costs for both members and employers. In just five years, our work has helped over 2.5 million people access higher-quality care and saved $1B in healthcare costs. We recently raised our Series E and have doubled five years running. If you've ever wanted your work to solve a problem that touches every person in this country, this is the opportunity to do exactly that. You'd be joining a team fundamentally reimagining healthcare in the U.S. — and using AI to scale that impact further and faster than anyone else can.
About the role
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Business Development Representative to join our Enterprise BDR Team. This role will report to The VP of Business Development. As a Senior BDR, you own initial outreach to targeted accounts and partners, working in conjunction with the sales and marketing teams.
Where you will work
Garner is headquartered in NYC, but this position is available for individuals who are comfortable with remote work and occasional travel to HQ.
What you will do
• Generate qualified meetings and pipeline for Garner's revenue organization
• Test outbound playbooks, messaging, and channels, since this motion is new and continuing to evolve
• Research target accounts and multi-thread into key stakeholders to find and engage the real decision-maker
• Push past initial rejection and gatekeepers to get executive-level conversations booked, treating a "no" as the start of the conversation, not the end
• Collaborate closely with sales partners on target accounts, handoffs, and account strategy
• Partner with marketing to test and refine messaging and offers based on what's actually converting in market
• Track and report on all outreach and pipeline activity in Salesforce, using that data to help shape the evolving playbook
The ideal candidate has
• Relentless drive to do whatever it takes to get in front of a prospect, and the resilience to keep going after repeated no's
• Genuine comfort with ambiguity and being uncomfortable; energized by building something new rather than following an established process
• A track record of high-volume outbound prospecting and consistently exceeding pipeline or meeting targets
• Strong executive presence, able to run confident, high-level conversations with senior stakeholders like HR, benefits, and finance leaders
• A bias toward action and fast iteration, willing to test an approach, learn quickly, and change course without waiting for permission
• Prior BDR/SDR experience, ideally in a complex, enterprise, or long-cycle sales motion (healthcare or benefits experience is a plus, not a requirement)
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback
Please note: we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
