As a key member of the Planning and Stewardship team, the Financial Planning Advisor is responsible for business and financial planning, stewardship and performance analysis supporting a major operating business unit. Through these activities, you will be involved in business decisions and process improvement, providing financial insights that directly influence business performance and strategic decision-making. This role offers exposure to operational leadership and senior management while contributing to initiatives that drive business value and continuous improvement. What You Will Do
Support annual planning process developing the financial plan for a major operating segment Utilize financial models, scenario analysis, and business cases to support strategic initiatives and decision making Independently analyze financial results for insights to understand key business events Contribute to recurring financial reporting activities, including oil and gas reporting and external disclosures Monitor key financial metrics and challenge assumptions providing recommendations Drive initiatives that improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and decision-making capabilities Enable continuous enhancement and process improvement through dashboards and analytical tools Partner in special projects, strategic analysis, and ad hoc requests from senior leadership About You
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline. 10+ years of progressive finance / accounting experience Analytical thinking and problem -solving ability to synthesize financial data into business insights Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship building skills Capability to manage multiple monthly priorities and deadlines Knowledge of Microsoft office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation Experience with accounting systems like SAP and analytic tools such as Power BI or other intelligence tools Comfortable working independently and continuous improvement mindset Previous experience within the oil & gas industry is preferred Your Benefits
