Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the future   The Records & Information Governance (RIG) Advisor coordinates and operationalizes the enterprise-wide records and information governance program across structured and unstructured data. This role supports the development, rollout, and maintenance of policies, standards, processes, and tools that ensure information is accurate, secure, compliant, and usable in alignment with business objectives and legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements. The role partners with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Information Security, IT, and business teams to ensure consistent execution, measurable adoption, and strong cross functional integration. The RIG Advisor coordinates program activities, maintains governance artifacts, and ensures lifecycle controls from information creation through retention, legal hold, and defensible disposition. Responsibilities include operationalizing classification, taxonomy/metadata, data mapping, archival practices, and supporting governance tools. The role also manages communications, training logistics, and governance forums. Close collaboration with Legal includes eDiscovery readiness, legal hold administration, retention schedule maintenance, and defensible disposition. Coordination with Privacy and Security ensures lifecycle controls align with privacy‑by‑design and data protection standards. The Advisor tracks metrics, risks, and issues, and prepares reporting for leadership and audit stakeholders.   What You'll Do

Coordinate day to day execution of the Enterprise Information Governance (EIG) Program across structured and unstructured data. Maintain EIG program plans, timelines, status, risks, and action items, support Steering and Advisory Committees and Accountability Networks. Maintain and update governance artifacts (enterprise retention schedule, data inventories/maps, standards, procedures, playbooks). Operationalize information lifecycle controls from creation through classification, retention, legal hold, archival, and defensible disposition. Support implementation and maintenance of classification schemes, taxonomies/metadata, data maps, archival/disposition rules, and governance tools. Partner with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Information Security, IT, and business teams to embed governance requirements into systems and processes. Support eDiscovery readiness and legal hold process administration in partnership with Legal Ops. Coordinate and execute communications, training logistics, and governance forums to drive adoption of information governance practices. Track and report program metrics, risks, issues, and status for leadership and audit stakeholders Assist with records acquisition, transfer, and disposition activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, ensuring information is identified, evaluated, and managed in accordance with enterprise retention, legal, privacy, and security requirements.

What You'll Bring – Required

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country Bachelor’s degree 2 or more years of experience in information governance, records management, or data governance 1 or more years of experience coordinating cross functional projects or programs Intermediate proficiency with M365 and collaboration/content management tools; comfort learning governance or data catalog tools Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytics/reporting tools for data analysis and visualization
