THE JOB: As a   Hostperson   for   The Corner Store   at   The Cosmopolitan , you will play a vital role in launching our brand-new, highly anticipated culinary concept and setting the stage for a spectacularly stylish guest experience. You will welcome trendsetters and food enthusiasts into our fresh, vibrant atmosphere with polished professionalism, managing the high-energy flow of our brand-new space from the very first greeting. By keeping the entryway impeccably organized, and working in seamless harmony with our service and culinary teams to share table details and coordinate guest seating, your magnetic hospitality will ensure our guests feel immediately welcomed and excited for a memorable journey at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. THE STARTING RATE:  $20.8027 Hourly THE DAY-TO-DAY: Communicate with Restaurant Reservations regarding special orders, cake orders, special requests – responsible for conveying all such information to management Maintain knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in‐house groups, daily house count, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code of the restaurant Greet guests promptly as they enter the restaurant Answer phones, keep accurate count of reservations and handle reservation book Ensure menus have proper inserts and are current according to the most recent change, and replace all menus in poor condition Communicate the needs of the guests to the kitchen and management, inform management of guest reactions and comments, and assist management as needed to ensure smooth operation and quality service Frequently check back with guests who are waiting to be seated; make it evident to guests that they have not been forgotten and that tables are being prepared for them Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas; shut down podium and forward phones to voice‐loop at end of shift THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required Must be 18 years of age or older 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience as a Hostperson in a Fine Dining restaurant or similar luxury dining environment preferred Experience with Open Table or SevenRooms system preferred THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more Free meals in our employee dining room Free parking on and off shift Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees) Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION: https://mgmresorts.marketpayjobs.com/ShowJob.aspx?EntityID=2&jobcode=14096 Are you ready to JOIN THE SHOW ?
