Driving consistency and accountability regarding all policies, procedures and expectations throughout the production organization using principle-based leadership. Determining staffing and prioritization to ensure customer satisfaction Developing operator & supervisor skills and engagement and encouraging problem solving and recognition of performance. Collaborating with the Operations Manager, Operations Peers, and the Production Planning, Plant Engineering, and Manufacturing Teams to understand strategy and execute improvement efforts. Willingness to be available and at times on-call to support 24/7 continuous operations. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: High School diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) Five (5) years of manufacturing supervisory experience in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution Seven (7) years of manufacturing supervisory experience in a private, public, government or military environment Demonstrated track record of delivering results in a cross-functional environment Experience and certification with Lean Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Experience in operational excellence, lean implementation, and financial accounting. Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to develop people and build a culture of trust and collaboration Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) Work location: On-Site Hutchinson, MN Travel: May include up to 5% domestic Relocation Assistance: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
