Job Description
Primary functions & responsibilities The Associate will work in the Asian Credit group and support senior leadership in providing information and expertise on firm strategies and funds to clients. The incumbent will handle a certain distinct allocated list of investments and shall perform the following activities for that account. Asset Management- • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end fund reporting materials as well as ad-hoc requests • Collaborate and develop strong working relationships with all internal subject matter experts of the Firm (portfolio management, business development, Finance, and operations) • Data Integrity and Analysis: Ensure that data accurately flows from various systems and troubleshoot issues • Undertake valuation of various investments, evaluate, and revise the methodologies as the investments develop and evolve during the life cycle of investment, draft/finalize valuation commentaries and reports in conjunction with the portfolio managers. Investor Relations (IR)- • Interface and develop strong working relationships with all internal subject matter experts of the Firm (primarily Asset Management and Finance, as well as Operations, Legal, Compliance) • Produce monthly/quarterly portfolio reports for investors, working with Finance and Asset Management teams to collate relevant data • Support the IR team at head office to build responses to investor questionnaires, due diligence, and ad hoc requests for existing and potential investors • Take on ad hoc projects and support all other teammates with their work as needed Qualifications Education: CA / MBA with 4-7 years of experience Experience Required: Fixed income or loan/credit experience required. General Requirements: Skills/Abilities: • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and represent the Firm in a professional manner • Outstanding attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy and organization • Proficiency in financial modelling, report writing and quantitative analysis skills • Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel • Problem solver with ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to set priorities, multi-task and monitor own workload to meet aggressive deadlines • Takes initiative and has a strong work ethic • Creatively think and add input to improving existing workflows • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with multiple tasks Reporting Relationships Principal, Credit - Portfolio Management There is no set deadline to apply for this job opportunity.
